Dorian, Ireland, and Writing

Here comes Dorian. First of all, stay calm and don’t panic. You can’t stop it, but you can  prepare for it. Here in the middle of the state of Florida, we will hunker down in our well built house with a metal roof. We have plenty of food, a nonelectric can opener, a hibachi and fuel, and a water filtration system. Also sufficient cash and medications. And cat food.

We had a great trip to Ireland, the weather in the sixties a nice change from Florida. Visited with people at the science fiction world convention, saw the Book of Kells at Trinity College, over 1000 years old. And the long room library. Fantastic. Visited purple heather strewn hills and hiked to lakes, went on a river boat ride and toured Smithwick distillery – better than Guinness. And went to the seaside in Howth, and sat in on an Irish music session in the Cobblestone Pub.

Back to writing. Have sent my publisher all the info he requested, now waiting as he goes through my mss. And working on my latest book. And typing my husband’s novel.
